Werasak Surareungchai, Ph.D. is the Director/Co-founder of the Futuristic Research Cluster of Thailand (FREAK Lab). He is also a brainchild professor at KMUTT, where he developed novel techniques and commercialized technology in the areas of biosensors and nano-biotechnology. His research focus on ultra-sensitive, simultaneous, system-integrated chemical sensors and in particular, transducing electrochemical and optical readouts for real-sample detection. With problem-oriented research interest, his sensing platforms provide a wide spectrum of applications in IoT, healthcare, agricultural, and environmental monitoring sectors. Werasak Surareungchai is awarded with the prestigious “the most outstanding technologist of Thaliland” in 2016.
